Global Greens Coordination

The Global Green Coordination is the network of Federations of national Green Parties from around the planet.

The Global Green Coordination (GGC) was established in April 2001 at the Global Greens Congress in Canberra, Australia.

The GGC appoints a twelve-member Global Steering Committee to oversee Global Greens affairs, including issuing of Global Greens statements and organizing Global Greens meetings.

The Global Steering Committee consists of three members from each of the Green Party Federations: Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe.

This structure builds upon the Global Reference Group structure of Federation representatives that was used to plan the Canberra meeting.

The GGC was created simultaneously with the Global Green Network (GGN). The document constituting both entities was adopted unanimously by the Global Assembly there. The GGN is a network of representatives of national Green parties. (Global Greens Coordination and Network - Founding Resolution)
